Grade Selection for Titanium Round Bar
The selection of titanium round bars depends on three key factors: working medium/temperature, strength/ductility requirements, and machining method. The most common decision is made between Grade 2 (Commercially Pure Titanium) and Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), while other grades are used for specific corrosion-resistant or forming applications. Below are application-based recommendations, with quick links to each grade page for comparison and ordering.
Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar
Corrosion-resistant, weldable, formable — suitable for most structural components that do not require extremely high strength.
Standards: ASTM B348 / SB-348, ASTM F67

Price & Procurement Guide
The price of titanium round bars depends on the grade (e.g. Grade 2 / Grade 5), diameter and length, surface and tolerance (Turned / TGP / polished), machining and testing options (cut-to-length, chamfering, Hollow Bar, UT), as well as order quantity and delivery time.
In-stock materials (titanium round bar stock) usually offer better pricing and faster delivery, while planned projects are recommended to lock prices based on production schedules.
Pricing Methods
Pricing is available per kg or per piece/per meter; it is recommended to estimate first using a weight calculator (ρ ≈ 4.51 g/cm³).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are you a manufacturer or a partnered production line? Can you supply one-stop service?
We operate with a "self-owned + partnered production line” model, covering open-die forging, hot extrusion, hot rolling, as well as TGP precision grinding and Hollow Bar (gun drilling + honing). Key processes can be recorded and third-party witnessed. A single-window supply approach makes project coordination easier and more reliable.
Not sure whether to choose Grade 2 or Grade 5 (or Grade 23)?
Start from "medium + strength.” • For chemical, seawater or other corrosive environments requiring good weldability → choose Grade 2. • For high-strength lightweight structures or fastener billets → choose Grade 5. • If toughness and fatigue reliability are critical → choose Grade 23 (ELI). Send us your working conditions, and we will recommend a practical and applicable grade.
What are the common stock sizes? Can you provide cut-to-length service?
Metric Ø3–Ø300 mm and imperial 1/8"–12" cover mainstream specifications. Cut-to-Length is available; standard cutting tolerance is ±1.0–2.0 mm, and precision cutting can be negotiated to ±0.5 mm. Popular sizes are supported with safety stock, and urgent orders can be inserted into production.
What tolerance and straightness can you achieve for assembly-level precision?
TGP (Turned, Ground & Polished) is available. Typical straightness can be controlled to ≤0.5 mm/m, and tolerances can be negotiated to h9/h10. End-face turning, chamfering, keyway or thread machining can be performed according to drawings.
Can you supply Hollow Bar? Is it suitable for valve bodies or sleeves?
Yes. Thick-wall Hollow Bars are manufactured through gun drilling + honing, which significantly reduces chips and machining time. Recommended bore diameter is ≥6 mm, minimum wall thickness ≥3 mm. Smaller dimensions may require rigidity and runout evaluation.
Which standards do you follow? What documents are provided with delivery?
Titanium bars comply with ASTM B348 / ASME SB-348. Aerospace applications follow AMS 4928 (Grade 5). Medical materials follow ASTM F67 / F136 / ISO 5832-3. Documents include EN 10204 3.1/3.2 (MTR), and optional UT (ASTM B594) / PT / RT inspection reports.
How is delivery scheduled? Do you provide export packaging?
We support small-batch quick delivery and stable batch production scheduling. Multiple-destination and split shipments are available. Export packaging includes reinforced wooden crates, end protection caps, VCI or clean packaging, with complete documentation and support for port inspection and customs clearance.
